£50 Boohoo Blogger Challenge

I love a good competition.. and after posting a entry into the ASOS £100 Challenge I've been waiting for another fun competition similar and have weventually came across one on FashionVouchers which is basically a site full of vouchers and codes to use for discounts in some great stores! Its definatley one to add to your favourites list!

Basically all you have to do is check out the Boohoo website and put together an outfit and the total cost must not exceed £50! Simple! And 4 winner will be chosen who will win £50 to spend on boohoo to buy the outfit they have made :)

So here is my entry please let me know what you think..fingers crossed I win as I LOVE LOVE LOVE boohoo.

I spent the full £50 and the outfit style I have gone for is something which can be worn during the day or night. This is something I would wear for a night out but something which I would also wear during the day if I was meeting up with friends for lunch. The dress was an absolute bargain in the sale at £12 and could be dressed down with a pair of pumps and a leather jacket or blazer. It has lace on the top half and a pleated skirt on the bottom seperated by a black waistband. The hairband is really sweet and gives the outfit a really cute girly look. The peeptoe wedges are really fashionable at the moment and I think they will compliment the dress really well. I chose to have black shoes to go with the black waistband of the dress. I finally chose the gold stud earrings. I love studs and also love gold jewellery at the moment so I was really happy to find these to go with my outfit.

I didnt choose a bag for my outfit as I pictured having a small black clutch stlye bag with a long gold chain strap but unfortunatley couldnt find one on the website so didnt want to just have another bag for the sake of it..but this is something that I would also have with the outfit if I had no price limit and could take one from another website :)

I hope you like my outfit choice!!

I've been on holiday this month so had a lot of empties to post about but seeing as its almost the end of the holiday season I thought it would be pointless to review a load of sun lotions etc. so I've just picked a few items which I took on holiday and have used up that could be useful all year round to post about!
Overall I liked all products and would try them again, all except the nail polish dry spray which I dont think seemed to make any difference.

Mascara Reviews - Best for all budgets

Mascara is the one makeup item I couldnt live without, and I thought I would share with you my favourite mascaras for a cheaper or more expensive budget.

For each picture I have applied a few coats of mascara so you can see them properly.

Average Spend - Bourjous Extreme Volume Clubbing - £7.99 at Superdrug
I have used this mascara ever since it first came out and I will continue to use it as I love the volumising effect it gives making your lashes thicker, longer and fuller. It comes in a waterproof type as well and comes in a range of colours including purple and green!

Positives
Double sided volumising brush
Longlasting
Smudgeproof
Easy to take off

Negatives
Can make lashes clumpy if too much applied

Pay Day Splash Out - YSL Shocking - £23.00 Boots
I have just purchased this mascara after my benefit mascara ran out and it is the best mascara I have ever used. Its a higher budget buy but well worth it and I would recommend it to anyone. It has a thick brush, lovely packaging and makes lashes longer and volumised.

Positives
Volumising
Buildable
Good for lengthening lashes
Very noticeable and brings out your eyes well

Negatives
Hard to fully remove even with makeup remover

Has anyone else tried these mascaras? What did you think? What are your favourite mascaras?

......................................................................

I've written reviews on a few of the products below and my favourites from this box were the lipstick and the cleansing oil.

I really loved the Glossybox own brand lipstick. The colour was lovely and the type of shade I usually go for. It was a nude/pink shade and looked great on. Not the best picture of it but you can kind of see the type of colour it is. It was a long lasting lipstick which left a tint on your lips when it eventually started to wear off which was great as it meant I didnt need to re-apply lots of times as my lips still had some colour.

The eyeshadow palette was lovely and the colours were ideal for the autumn as they were a selection of nudes/browns/greens. The colours were really nice on as you can see from the swatches but I really had to dig the applicator into the powder and rub really hard to actually get any on the brush.

The imPRESS nails are quite new on the market and I was looking forward to trying them when I seen them in my glossybox. The pattern was a burgandy and gold swirl and the nails were short length and square which is what I usually go for. They were easy to apply, you just peeled off the backs and pressed them firmly onto your nails. I didnt need to cut the nails they fitted perfectly and there are 12 sizes to choose from. I've never used press on pre glued nails so was a bit worried about whether they would stay on well - and they didnt!!!! I didnt manage to get a picture of them actually on my nails but they did look really nice. I wore them for a night out and when I put them on, after about half an hour one popped off and then as the night went on they all came off. For £7.99 I certainly wont be buying them again as I think its a waste of time when they dont last longer than a few hours - I would possibly buy them and just stick some glue on my nails before applying which might keep them on. Overall I wasnt too 'imPRESS'ed with them!
